Weather App, Inspired by the graphic designer Erik Nitsche. Done as part of my Visual Communication studies, third year.

Ideation Process
Designer Erik Nitsche, known for his graphic works and geometric compositions in the 1940s, inspired my process of deconstructing his complex designs and reassembling them into new, functional compositions. This approach blends a modern color palette with usability to create a functional weather app.
The Challenges
Avoiding Information Overload
Presenting detailed weather and climate change information in a digestible format, preventing users from feeling overwhelmed while still providing value.
Balancing Aesthetics and Usability
Refine the graphic art and transform it into a dynamic, interactive interface that embodies the chosen designer's visual identity, balancing modern elements with usability to ensure clarity and functionality without sacrificing the playful aspect of the design.
Screens
Home Page
The Home Screen shows user-defined locations and their weather, with each weather type represented by a unique graphic image.

Location Management
Allows users to edit, delete, search, and add new locations to their weather dashboard for easy customization.

Climate Prediction
The feature shows today’s temperature, compares it to 24 years ago, and projects it 24 years ahead, raising climate change awareness and offering daily tips for small user actions.
